Juventus.

La Dea lost 2-0 to the reigning Italian champions on Sunday afternoon although they played some better football towards the end of the match, but coach Reja thinks his side were partly unlucky due the quality Juventus had during the game.

“Ironically, we played our best after they scored,” the 70-year-old told Rai after the match.

“We were unlucky to come up against Juventus who played very well in the first half.”

The Italian tactician then pointed out that they also made some mistakes in the game, showing his disappointment with how much of the ball their opponents saw.

“We recovered, we tried to attack them more, we created two opportunities with [Mauricio] Pinilla and Maxi Moralez but overall we had too much fear against them,” he said.

“We have too much space to our opponents.”

Atalanta’s loss puts them in ninth place in the league table ahead of their next fixture at home to Lazio on Wednesday night.
