Marchetti LazioLazio goalkeeper Federico Marchetti is the subject of interest from both AC Milan and Juventus.

The Italian international was close to agreeing a new contract with Lazio but speculation has emerged suggesting the player and the club are unable to find a solution.

These developments have lead to AC Milan and Juventus becoming interested in the player according to Il Messaggero.

The proposed deal between Lazio and Marchetti was for a contract to keep him at the Stadio Olimpico until 2019 and was worth €1.6 million but it appears the deal is off.

The Rossoneri are hoping to bolster their squad after the poor recent form of goalkeeper Diego Lopez.

Even though young Italian Gianluigi Donnarumma has come into the Milan team, the club want a more experienced option and have therefore targeted Marchetti.

Juventus meanwhile are hoping to lure Marchetti to Turin in order to offer more competition to current number one Gianluigi Buffon.

Marchetti has been at Lazio since 2011 after joining from Cagliari and has made 115 Serie A appearances for the Biancocelesti.
