Udinese coach Stefano Colantuono is aiming for victory in his team’s round 16 Serie A fixture despite welcoming league leaders Inter to the Stadio Friuli.

Coming off the back of a crushing 3-0 defeat to Fiorentina, the 53-year-old recognised the Nerazzurri’s strengths, whilst also insisting he would continue with his high-pressing philosophy.

“Inter have few weaknesses,” he told reporters at the pre-match press conference. “They are a physical team with some great talent in their forward line.

“We are not certain how they will play as they can be flexible and chameleonic.

“They may try to match us and play 3-5-2 or keep the same tactical approach which has created many opportunities and caused Genoa significant problems in their previous fixture.

“We have our own philosophy and we would like to continue with this, we will not drop back but rather push forward.”

When questioned about the January transfer market, Colantuono refused to draw his focus away from Saturday’s fixture.

“We still have to play three games before the Christmas break,” he continued. “I have never talked about the market and will not start here in Udine.

“We need to score points; we want to win tomorrow night and we will not be stopping.”

Udinese remain unbeaten at the Stadio Friuli in their last four fixtures, however host a table-topping Inter outfit who boast the strongest away record in the league.
