Italy v Netherlands - Immobile and ZazaAlan Pardew is looking to the Bianconeri’s out of favour Simone Zaza to bolster his strikeforce in the January transfer window.

The Eagles have managed the first half of the season with only a few fit strikers available and Pardew has started many games without a recognised centre forward.

He has instead opted sometimes to lead the line with Yannick Bolasie as a makeshift option as the likes of Patrick Bamford, Dwight Gayle and Connor Wickham have failed to sufficiently impress.

Zaza would be available on loan as reported by The Sun, having had his chances at the Juventus Stadium limited and only made seven appearances for The Old Lady so far this season, and just three starts.

Despite his lack of game time, the 24-year-old has still netted twice in the league and once in the Champions League. His record of former club Sassuolo of 20 goals in 64 appearances suggests he could be a worthy asset to his South London suitors. His direct style and ability to run at the defence with pace and trickery, will certainly appeal to Pardew.

Palace will face competition to secure the Italian international’s services though, with Norwich and Watford also expressing an interest.
