Sevilla striker Fernando Llorente says that he felt he had to score against old club Juventus in the Champions League.

The Spaniard struck the only goal as Sevilla beat the Bianconeri in Spain, forcing the Old Lady to drop to second in the group as Manchester City won a thriller against Borussia Monchengladbach.

“I felt I had to get a goal tonight,” said Llorente to Sky Sports.

“I felt I would yesterday and it feels nice to do it tonight,” he said.

“It’s always difficult to score a goal against a goalkeeper like Gianluigi Buffon.

“Juventus still played really well and were unlucky to lose, but in the end I am pleased with Sevilla’s performance.”

Llorente scored 23 Serie A goals for Juventus during two seasons at the club.
