Dries Mertens was happy with his double as Napoli beat Legia Warsaw 5-2 in the Europa League.
The Belgian starred as Napoli completed a perfect record in the Europa League group stage and Mertens is already looking forward to playing Roma on Sunday in Serie A.
“It was wonderful to score two goals and I am very happy with the result,” Mertens told Sky Sport Italia.
“We wanted to prove that even those of us who usually sit on the bench have quality and can make an impact.
“It didn’t go well at Bologna and we wanted to prove ourselves by getting back on track today.
“I had cramp at the end, as I hadn’t really played for four weeks.
“The team is doing really well and we want to have the same attitude on Sunday against Roma.
“We’re ready for this incredibly important match, which is huge for both the team and the fans.”
