Fellaini 1As AC Milan continue their pursuit of Belgian midfielder Marouane Fellaini, Manchester United has reportedly set a transfer fee of over €30 million for him to leave Old Trafford.

The proposed fee presents the Rossoneri with a major obstacle to overcome given their budget will largely depend upon players being sold during the winter transfer window.

As reported by the Daily Mirror, the Milanese’s initial proposal to loan the 28-year-old was rejected with United communicating to vice-president Adriano Galliani that they would only accept an outright purchase in excess of €30 million.

Despite the Red Devils’ substantial request, Fellaini has started only five Premier League games this season with one goal to his name.

Meanwhile, Milan continue to concentrate on relinquishing squad members in an effort to free up funds with Alessio Cerci and Stephan El Shaarawy on the top of their sell list.
