Glik - Torino v NapoliTorino captain Kamil Glik has urged the Granata faithful to remain loyal as they aim to end their current winless stretch.

The side are without a victory since November and Sunday’s 1-0 loss at home to Empoli left the Granata nine points adrift of the European places.

“We created many chances throughout the game but unfortunately we did not convert them,” Glik told the club’s official website after the game.

“We are in a negative period but I am sure that we will get out of it.

“The game today showed that we are on the right path.

“We also count on our fans, who have always been our strength.

“I hope that on Saturday [versus Frosinone] the stadium will be full to support us.”

The defender also offered his support to forward Fabio Quagliarella, who was the target of a banner unveiled by the home fans asking him to leave after he refused to celebrate against his former club Napoli in midweek.

“He’s a great professional and a great man,” added Glik.

“Me and the team are with him and we will do everything to help him.”
