donadoniWith Antonio Conte’s unveiling as the new manager of Chelsea seeming increasingly imminent, Bologna coach Roberto Donadoni could be set to succeed the Italy boss.

As Guus Hiddink’s tenure as interim manager at Stamford Bridge looks set to end in May, the Blues have identified the former Juventus boss as the man they want to take over from the amicable Dutchman.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Donadoni is the latest name to join a list of candidates for the Azzurri job, including Torino‘s Giampiero Ventura and Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri.

Since taking over at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara, Donadoni has guided the Rossoblu away from a relegation fight and into their current position of ninth place in the Serie A table.

Ranieri, too, has done remarkable things since being appointed as Foxes manager. The shock Premier League leaders find themselves five points clear at the summit of English football with just nine games remaining.
