udinese frosinoneFrosinone will be looking to inch closer to Serie A safety when they host Udinese on Sunday afternoon at the Stadio Matusa.

The Gialloazzurri currently sit 18th place, four points behind Palermo and the coveted 17th spot. The Bianconeri occupy 14th, seven points ahead of their hosts this weekend.

Frosinone saw their run of positive form halted by a 2-0 loss away to Sampdoria. Defence remains an issue as the club have conceded a whopping 53 goals in 27 matches, seven more than il Doria, the next worst team. Coach Roberto Stellone will need to find the remedy quickly if he hopes to continue the Serie A journey with the team he has brought up from Lega Pro.

Udinese saw their eight-match winless streak come to an end with a 2-0 victory over Hellas Verona. Goals have been extremely hard to come by, their tally of 24 tied for the lowest in Serie A, only matched by Carpi and Verona. Coach Stefano Colantuono will be hoping that the reinsertion of talisman Antonio Di Natale into the starting lineup will provide the offensive spark needed to ensure a mid-table finish.

This will be the second-ever meeting between the two teams, the first coming in October when a Francesco Lodi free kick gave Udinese the 1-0 victory.

The Canarini have one suspension to consider as Paolo Sammarco sits out due to an accumulation of yellow cards. Stellone will be happy to know that his side has nearly a clean bill of health, with only Adriano Russo out through injury.

The Zebrette are not facing any disciplinary action this weekend but will be without the injured Alexander Merkel, Maurizio Domizzi, and Molla Wague.
