Lazio are considering making a move for AC Milan forward Fernando Torres, currently on loan at Spanish side Atletico Madrid.
The former Liverpool and Chelsea striker looks likely to return to Italy at the end of the season, when his loan spell with Los Rojiblancos finishes, and already has a potential suitor waiting at his door.
According to Il Corriere della Sera, Lazio are keen to take the 32-year-old off of Milan’s hands this summer and bring him to the Stadio Olimpico.
The Biancocelesti are on the lookout for a replacement for current striker Miroslav Klose, who is reportedly set to exit the club when his contract come to its end.
Having struggled for goals throughout much of the season, Lazio view the Spanish international as the perfect blend of experience and skill and envision him leading the line for the next campaign.
Torres has accumulated 22 La Liga appearances throughout this season, scoring five goals.
