Manduzkic Juventus LazioLazio coach Simone Inzaghi has demanded his team show more character in future following his side’s 3-0 defeat to Juventus on Wednesday night.

The Biancocelesti were outplayed for the majority of the night and produced a second-half implosion when Patric was idiotically sent-off just moments before Santiago Gentiletti foolishly gave Juventus a needless penalty.

“In some instances we had to show more character and discipline because we knew we would not have that much possession, we had to be more careful, ” Inzaghi told Sky Sport Italia after the match.

“The penalty was the right decision but even if it hadn’t been awarded we would have lost. In the first-half we could have done better but we were still in the match until the red card.”

Finally, Inzaghi justified the selection of Felipe Anderson over Antonio Candreva saying the Brazilian had trained well this week.

“He has been working hard this week so I gave him a chance tonight,” Inzaghi concluded.
