lichtsteiner juventusJuventus full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner has claimed that he would like to stay at the club for as long as he remains useful.

The 32-year-old moved to Turin from Lazio in 2011 and has since made 147 appearances for the Old Lady.

“I think I can play at this standard for another three or four years and my intention is to stay at Juventus,” said Lichtsteiner to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I’m very happy to play for the Bianconeri, if the club want me then why wouldn’t I dream of playing for Juventus for the remainder of my career?”

The Switzerland international has made 21 Serie A starts but was forced to take time off after undergoing heart surgery and he also discussed the repercussions of the operation.

“It made me understand that you have to enjoy every moment,” added Lichtsteiner.

“We’re always under pressure and have to win which means we can forget the pleasure of playing.”
