Despite his wish to leave the side, Lazio are remaining stubborn as Juventus attempt to sign out-of-place forward Keita Balde Diao.

The 21-year-old has recently handed in a transfer request to the Biancocelesti, despite having two years remaining on his contract, and didn’t turn up to pre-season training, and now Juventus have offered to welcome him into their squad as a way out.

The Bianconeri have presented Keita’s current employers with an offer of €25 million, however, according to alfredopedulla.com, Lazio president Claudio Lotito will not let his man go easily and has demanded around €7m more for the Senegal international.

The view from Juventus is to sign Keita and then send him out on a year-long loan to the Spanish La Liga before he returns to Italy.

Inter have also expressed their desire to invest in the player’s services but a deal has not yet materialised.
