David Lopez - NapoliReal Betis are interested in signing David Lopez on loan deal from Napoli with an option to buy the player at the end of 2016-17 campaign.

Following the imminent transfers of two new midfielders in Piotr Zielinski and Marko Rog, the Partenopei would be less reluctant to release David Lopez but only on a permanent deal with a fixed price set at €5 million.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, the 26 year old is becoming unsettled with the rising competition in Napoli’s midfield and wishes to return to the Spanish La Liga to secure regular football.

Besides Real Betis, several other Spanish clubs are monitoring the player’s situation closely, including Las Palmas, Deportivo Alaves and his former club, Espanyol.

The defensive midfielder joined Napoli in the summer of 2014 from Espanyol for €5.3m and has appeared in 57 matches in Serie A over a period of two years.
