Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti rebuffed a potential return to AC Milan, should he leave the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.

Many reports have suggested AC Milan have opened negotiations to bring Ancelotti back at the Stadio Meazza, with Silvio Berlusconi also declaring that he would welcome the Italian coach’s return to the Rossoneri.

Ancelotti clarified his future, following Real Madrid’s victory over Getafe, stating that a move back to AC Milan was not on the cards.

“My future is very clear in my head,” Ancelotti said in his post-match press conference.

“Either I will stay at Real Madrid or I will take a one-year sabbatical. I however thank Berlusconi for his words and his vote of confidence.”

Ancelotti missed out on the La Liga title, losing out to Barcelona, and was knocked out of the Champions League semi-finals by Juventus. The 2015 FIFA Club World Cup was the only trophy the Real Madrid coach was able to lift this season.
