Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarella has admitted that his words were misrepresented, and that he wants to remain with the Bianconeri.

Quagliarella was quoted as saying that he would like to play for a manager like Roma’s Zdenek Zeman.

However, the 29-year-old has pledged his services to the Turin side, saying that he does not intend to leave.

“I wanted to clarify the things I said about Zeman,” he said on his personal Facebook page.

“They were misinterpreted, and I want to address the question put to me about Zeman that I think would have received the same response from any other player.

“That is that he is a manager who impliments a very offensive style of football that can put the attacking players in the best positions.

“I never intended to leave Torino, a magnificent city that I am very well situated in.  I don’t want to leave Juventus either, the team I have won two important trophies with, the scudetto and the supercoppa, and with whom I want to continue to win.

“I’m sure you have understood what I meant to say, and now I will begin to concentrate on the match this Sunday against Catania.”
