Ishak Belfodil - ParmaSpeculation is surrounding Parma’s young striker, Ishak Belfodil, linking him with several English clubs with Liverpool as the front runner.

Liverpool’s manager Brendan Rodgers has gone shopping in Serie A before for the likes of Fabio Borini and Phillipe Coutinho. The Northern Irishman, and others, no doubt noticed Belfodil’s eight goals this season as evidence of his potential.

According to Tuttomercatoweb.com Liverpool are interested in Belfodil’s signature but so are Tottenham and Everton.

The aforementioned English clubs all lack depth up front and will all want to strengthen their options next season. Belfodil is good in the air and boasts a strong physique that would suit English football.

We (Liverpool FC) are not ‘eyeing’ anyone from Italy. Especially after the massive disappointments that were Aquillani. Dossena. Borini etc! Italian players on the whole don’t travel too well. With the odd exception like exceptional World class players such as Zola and Vialli.

Newsflash: Liverpool will not go near another Italian player again: For the very reasons above and being dicked around by Milan and Roma over Aquillani’s loan and transfer!

You never know my friend. The Italian press did break Guardiola to Bayern before anyone so they are usually in the ball. I think Liverpool’s last Serie A deal worked out nicely. Coutinho has been great for the reds. Should be enough to encourage LFC to go Italian again.
