Keisuke Honda CSKA MoscowAC Milan will complete the signing of Keisuke Honda from CSKA Moscow on January 3rd 2014.

The Japanese international had reportedly agreed a four year-contract with the Rossoneri several months ago.

Honda played what could be his last game for the Russian side last night in a 2-1 loss to Viktoria Plzen.

The 27 year-old’s contract will be put into affect along with Valencia centre-back Adil Rami when the window opens.

If the transfer goes through, then it could see the likes of Riccardo Saponara depart on loan for the rest of the season.

Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani confirmed the transfer and revealed what number the player would wear.

“We can announce it officially: [Keisuke] Honda will be a Milan player on January 3rd. He will wear number 10.”

The playmaker will not be eligible to play in the UEFA Champions League for Milan should they qualify.
