Lazio goalkeeper Federico Marchetti could make his first appearance of the season when the Roman club face Udinese at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.
The Italian international missed the Biancocelesti’s opening Serie A fixtures against Bologna and Chievo, and also sat out both Champions League qualifiers against Bayer Leverkusen, having broken two ribs in training prior to the first leg against the Germans.
According to La Lazio Siamo Noi, the 32-year-old has made good progress in his recovery programme and is in line to feature against the Zebrette, but the Aquile will monitor his fitness over the coming week before making a final decision.
Since joining Lazio in 2011, Marchetti has featured 115 times for the club.
The former Cagliari and AlbinoLeffe man has also represented Italy on 11 occasions since debuting in 2009.
