Bologna TorinoBologna coach Roberto Donadoni left fuming after his side gave away a late penalty in their 1-0 defeat to Torino.

Domenico Maietta was the guilty man, bringing down Andrea Belotti in extra time who converted from the spot kick.

“We made several mistakes and it cost us dearly,” Donadoni began in his post-match interview with Sky Sport Italia.

Emanuele Giaccherini came closest for the Rossoblu when he struck the post, but it was a game of few opportunities.

“We simply cannot concede a penalty in the extra time, we did have chances to score but we weren’t clinical enough.

Bologna were without striker Mattia Destro, who has eight goals to his name since his summer signing from Roma.

“Unfortunately [Mattia] Destro is suffering with a foot injury and we aren’t sure when he will recover,” Donadoni added.

The result does little to affect the newly-promoted side’s position, with the threat of relegation non-existent.
