Roma coach Luciano Spalletti praised his sides performance but rued the dropped points after their 1-1 draw with Bologna.

Luca Rossettini gave the Rossoblu a surprise lead, but the Giallorossi hit back through Mohamed Salah in the second half to salvage a point as the introduction of Francesco Totti at half-time gave the hosts a boost.

“These things happen, you can put on a great performance but still only come away with a point,” Spalletti told Premium Sport.

“We accept this result and we’d like to compliment Bologna, but we have to maintain these good performances.

“If we can overturn the odds and catch up with Napoli then we will look back on these kinds of performances as crucial.

The result moves Roma onto 64 points in third position, six points behind Napoli in second and six ahead of Roberto Mancini’s Inter in fourth spot.
