Italy attacking midfielder Emanuele Giaccherini looks set to complete a move to Napoli from English Premier League side Sunderland.
His agent had previously said that he would remain in England, and denied rumours that he could be on the way to Naples before the winter transfer window earlier this year.
Reports from Sky Sport Italia suggest, however, that it is almost a done deal with final paperwork waiting to be exchanged before Giaccherini joins the Partenopei for €1.5 million.
The 31-year-old’s contract is worth €1.6 million and will tie him to the Stadio San Paolo for three years.
Giaccherini has been the subject of interest by some clubs following his performances for the Azzurri at Euro 2016, with his goal helping them claim victory over Belgium while he assisted one against Spain.
