hernanes juventusJuventus have announced on their official website that midfielder Hernanes has suffered an injury and will be out for approximately three weeks.

The Brazilian was substituted at half-time on Saturday night in the 1-0 victory over rivals AC Milan at the Juventus Stadium.

“Hernanes underwent tests to ascertain the exact nature of the problem picked up during last weekend’s meeting with Milan,” the official statement said.

“These revealed a first-grade tear in the adductor longus muscle in the midfielder’s right thigh.

“He is expected to be out of action for approximately three weeks.”

This news means the former Inter midfielder will sit-out the fixture against Manchester City on Wednesday night at the Juventus Stadium, as well as fixtures against Palermo, Lazio, Sevilla and Fiorentina.

The midfielder, who was signed from rivals Inter in the summer for €11 million, has featured in 13 matches for Juve this season, failing to score a single goal or provide an assist.
