Quagliarella torino frosinoneTorino welcome bottom of the table Frosinone to the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday evening, looking to halt a run of four games without a win in Serie A.

The Granata’s last domestic victory came thanks to two late goals in the 2-0 win against Bologna, with Giampiero Ventura’s side having tasted defeat in their previous four outings.

Empoli became the latest team to depart Turin with all three points after Massimo Maccarone scored the only goal of the contest during a 1-0 defeat.

Interestingly, the Granata faithful conveyed their anger towards forward Fabio Quagliarella during the match, after the Italian apologised to the Napoli supporters when he equalised at the Stadio San Paolo last Wednesday evening.

Captain Kamil Glik, however, urged supporters to get behind the veteran striker after Sunday’s loss and believes Torino can snap out of their current losing streak with help from their vociferous home backing.

Frosinone, meanwhile, are without an away win all season and travel to the Stadio Olimpico without a victory in their past 5 matches.

Positives could be taken from their 2-2 draw with high-flying Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium, but the Canarini were then on the receiving end of a harrowing 5-1 trouncing at home to Napoli last time out.

Frosinone met Torino in their maiden Serie A match but were narrowly beaten 2-1 after Danilo Soddimo’s 7th-minute opener was cancelled out by second-half strikes from Quagliarella and Daniele Baselli.

Both sides should be at full-strength for Saturday’s meeting, with Joel Obi the only absentee for the hosts.

On-loan defender Aleandro Rosi and Massimiliano Carlini are suspended for the away side.
